Lisa´s paper goods | Circle embellishments

I wanted to share a few new items in the shop

These  are cute circle paper embellishment sets. They are easily used with a 3D foam square on the back. I have made a few sets. This one above is the everyday set with words that would pair perfectly with an everyday kind of scrapbooking page or in your Project Life album! The colors are clear and saturated for a great look.

The yellow  set is ofcourse an autumn set. I don´t know about you, but I always tend to reach for my yellow and orange papers this time of year.

Here are just a few ways I have used the circle embellishments myself. I keep a Project Life album and these are so easy to just attach to the outside of a pocket.

Here is another look where I have used the autumn set I mentioned above.
I love how these add a pop of color to any spread!

I hope you´ll come on over and take a look in the shop

Project Life 2015 | New size, again

At the start of this year I started using a new album and pocket page size. I had been doing Project Life in an A4 size for three years and was excited for a change. Up until after the summer I was happy with the change. Then I started thinking about how I missed having room for random photos and current events. I pondered about it for a while and then came to the conclusion that I needed to go bigger again. So I bought a pack of trading card plastic pockets that I usually use for my Pocket Letters and decided to use them.

I had a summer album and then started my third album of the year in September. So, I just moved over those first weeks of spreads in the third album over to a A4 binder and continued with the bigger pages in there.

The pockets are smaller than 3x4" so this requires trimming down each card and photo, but that
doesn´t bother me. I love how I can use many/all photos if I want. And perhaps also use bigger photos on a whole page at some time.

I´d like to challenge myself to use more journaling as I usually dream of. We´ll see about how that works out for me since the words are always a struggle.

I am happy with the new size and look forward to flipping through the album at the end of the year reviewing how I will continue.

Happy Friday!

140 happy things in 140 days

75 somewhat days ago I started a happiness project on my Instagram that I call 140 happy things in 140 days. When I started it was 140 days until Christmas and I thought that would be a good goal day. In my first post I asked if anyone would like to join in and there were several people who thought it was a good idea! As of right now our hashtag #140happythingsin140days has 560 posts! Isn´t that great!

Above you can see a few of my posts. I share big things I am happy about, like having a garden to take care of. And small things, like having a lazy day with sunshine. Just thinking about the list of happy things makes me excited!

The plan is to somehow compile all the photos into some sort of album. I haven´t yet decided on the format. I haven´t decided if this is something I will do again after the 140 days are up either. But as it feels right now, I am totally ready for something like this again.

Wanna join in? Check out the hashtag  #140happythingsin140days for more info!

WCS | Inspired by Pinterest day 3

As I have mentioned in a previous post, we had a Pinterest inspired theme last week at WCS. I wanted to share the last post with you. Jennifer Hignite chose the pin above to have as inspiration. As these are my wedding colors I loved the inspiration piece!

This is my layout. I took a number of pocket cards and used as my background. I wanted them to drop from the edge so I just cut the ones on the edges. I added one journaling card where I used my typewriter (I love it!) to type out my journaling that is about how sweet it is to have Sally napping with me.

I used a stamp from Kellie´s stamps on the photo. I love her stamps, they always turn out so well!

That is it for today! Thanks for stopping by!

Love Where You Live | my home pages from the archives

I recently had a serenditity chance to take the latest class from the girls at Little Paper Projects  called Love where you live.  It´s only 2 lessons in and I am very excited to see how the class is going to inspire me to create pages about our home. I love the topic as a homebody that loves her home already! To start out I dug into my recent layouts to find the ones I have made about our new home.

Story: This page is about how great the move went with great help of wonderful family members. I still love the circles I cut out for the photos!

Story: If you are a regular reader, you know that one of our most favorite features is the view over the lake. We are still mesmerized whenever we walk into the kitchen.

Story: Our second favorite feature is our back patio. Oh, it is heavenly!

I wanted to end this post with a fun thing I have in the first Project Life album of the year. When we moved in I took photos of every room when it was empty. Then I made sure to take photos of the rooms all decorated. I have paired them on a spread in the album. I think it is so much fun to look back on!

WCS | Inspired by Pinterest

This post was originally written for the Write Click Scrapbook blog.

October_week1_writeclickscrapbook
Hi there! I am so happy to be back with the weeklong themes! Our team (Jennifer HBecca and me) is up first and we are doing all Pinterest inspired posts. This is how we did it: we all found one pin and are blogging about our own projects made with that pin as inspiration. Then as a little extra, we made something inspired by the other's pin also. I like to see how we all interpret different things from the same piece!
I, Lisa, am going first! Here is the pin that I picked.

It makes my heart go pitterpatter when I see the fun colors and the outlined ink. I knew that I wanted to use the letters as my inspiration and I made 2 layouts.

As you see I used the cut out letters and outline as my main inspiration. I don't have a die cutting machine, so I handcut the letters. I don't mind; I like it as therapy! I found some fun and colorful patterned papers to match my daughter's mood in these selfies. What is up with teens and selfies by the way?! Haha! Anyway she is a selfie queen! Rather than just using a collage of the four photos, I used my sewing machine to make a grid for the photos.

As I had adhered the letters and used a fine pen to make the outlines. I don't mind the lines being uneven one bit, I like it!

Here is the second layout I made. I wanted to show you how fun the cut out letters can be with a more cohesive color palette. I jumped in my scraps basket looking for different yellow papers and spelled out the word sunflower in this quote I found. It worked perfectly with the new photos I took at the sunflower field a few weeks ago!
Here is just a closer look.

Jennifer made this digital layout using my pin as inspiration. I love how she used those fun upper case letters! So colorful and fun.

WCS | New launch and a new gallery

The team took a little break for the month of September, but today we are back with a new gallery!

The gallery theme is "outside" which is one of my favorite places to be :)
I made this super simple layout using almost no product. I used random photos from the garden and the journaling talks about what a lovely summer we have had in our new garden.

Check out the lovely gallery by clicking the link above!

Project Life 2018 | Week 8-11

Week 8: This week we were still sick and home from work. My daughter came to visit us for the weekend. It was also my birthday and when...
