Memory keeping | Inspired by Cocoa Daisy January moodboard

I like to see a good moodboard inspiration piece. When I saw Cocoa Daisy´s January mood board I knew I wanted to create something with it as my inspiration. I love the color combinations of pink, yellow and red!

I have begun to do a new thing when I sit down to scrapbook. I shop my supplies. Yes, I have my photo and story and then I go through my staash to find supplies that fit colorwise, storywise or with another category in mind. I then have those supplies out when I do the scrapbooking. I has been a great routine and I have used stuff I have hoarded for a while!

I used a photo of one of the recent hearts of nature I have found. There isn´t a big, long story to this, I just wanted to scrap the photo as a reminder of the fact that if you really want to find them, you will.
That is the Memory keeping Monday for this week!

Art Journal Tuesday

Last year I played in an old book I used as an art journal. I didn't last very long, but I did enjoy it. This year I started a very simple ring bound journal with cardboard covers. It's easy to add in more and more pages as I create new ones.

For me art journaling is to play. Play with new and different techniques and mediums. And to play with words. I love words and quotes, as you know, and I like to use some in my art journal.

I have used my watercolors, coloring pages and odd pieces of paper. Without any pressure to create every day/week I add to it whenever I need some creative play. I look forward to fill it up!

I love weekends and a free download!

Hi! If you know me you would also know that I love weekends! This weekend we are planning to go sledding! I mean how fun is that! To celebrate Friday and the weekend I have made a 3x4" card you can use in your pocket pages for example! There is one jpg file and one png. You are welcome! Happy weekend!

Memory keeping | Winter sunshine

Living here in Sweden, even if it is in the south of the country, means that winter is cold. Not always icy/snowy cold, but indeed cold. We have months of dark days and even more dark nights and sunshine is rare. And since sunshine is my drug I get a little mad if I don´t see the sun for a while. One would think I´d move to southern Europe by now, but perhaps since it is so rare, I experience sunshine with even more emotion.

Ok, so last week we had the most perfect winter day; really cold, snow on the ground and sunshine. This was also our first date anniversary :) Three years ago we went on our first date and the rest is history...

Obviously this all needed a scrapbook page! I printed 4 photos from our 10 minute date (did I mention it was COLD!) down at the beach on one 4x6" card and just added my journaling with my typewriter. Done. I love when I have a longer story and I love it when a page come together easy!

OLW 2016 | Me

From time to time I like to play along with challenges posted around my favorite blogs online. This layout was created with the Cili n papers January challenge to create one about me. I opted to have my OLW (alive) in mind when I made the layout. I love the quote I found online somewhere:
"I hope there are days when you fall in love with being alive."

I spend a good half an hour making these fringe circles :) Haha sometimes it´s worth it, right! The papers all come from one of my favorite paper pads Amelia from 7 papers.

My top 3 favorite coloring books for adults

Today I thought I´d share 3 of my favorite coloring books for adults. The coloring craze must have boomed last year don´t you think? I guess with people more stressed than ever sitting down for a little while just coloring helps many. I know it does wonders for this anxious person! I love to sit and color whenever I feel scattered and anxious. Even if it is just for 10 minutes it helps me re-focus and take a few breaths, because you have to concentrate on the coloring and not the million things your mind goes through.

I use my water color pens sometimes and when I do I often use my water brush to add effects. I paint with my pens first and then simply brush over with my waterbrush to smudge. This gives it a simple effect of different shades.

But lately I have just used a few of my black markers for all my coloring. I use a fine tip and a maybe a 0.3 tip also.

I love how the black gives so much effect!

Here I have listed my top 3 favorite coloring books for you. I have included links …

Lisa´s papergoods | New items in the shop!

I want to share a few new items that I have listed in my etsy shop!

I have a few sets of these lovely circly embellishments. They come with a glue dot in the back for easy attachment. I have used these on scrapbook layouts and in my Project Life spreads.

This above is one of my favorite quotes! It´s so simple yet powerful don´t you think? I love that I can use different colors for the background to make custom pieces!

Here is the set of simple hand stamped cards. They make me happy! The cards are made with sturdy kraft colored paper andinside is blank for your own message ofcourse.
Please stop by the shop to see if you can find something you like!

December mini | 2015 02

Here is the (almost) last pages from my December mini. You can see the first ones here.

This page above talks about which Holiday movies we like to watch. I wrote the journaling on a strip of paper as an insert and added the lovely quote from Love Actually to the left pockets.
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often, it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around.&…

Project Life 2016 | Title page

I still have to share the remain of my Project Life album from 2015, it´s coming later this week, but I wanted to throw in my 2016 title page in here right away.  I first had the plan to use the back of the very last page protector of the 2015 album to document the first part of week 53 and then skip the title page and use that first page of the first page protector in the 2016 album. But alas seeing all the title page inspiration around the interwebs made me cave and made a title page anyway :)
As you can see it is super simple with current photos of us mugshot style with just a few facts about each of us typed on white cardstock. I actually do love to see our photos of us at the beginning of each year as I go back and flip through our older albums, so I am very happy I have made them.
Did you make a title page this year?

Project Life 2015 | Weeks 49-51

Just to close up 2015, here are my last weeks of Project Life spreads.

All these spreads are from December so they hold Holiday related stuff ofcourse, but also everyday kind of things clearly. One thing I have seen during this month is that I use more photos. Less words, which makes me a little bit sad, but I guess keeping my December mini on the side of this project makes me feel like doing some of the work double.

I did a few flip pockets through and underneath is more words, they are just hidden.

I have always used a lot of photos in my albums though so that is not something new. I like to take photos and use them in my PL albums that shows the season/period of time.

Another thing I have seen in the last weeks is that I have been color scheming more. I have done that a little bit before, but for example in this spread above (week 52) I think it is more obvious than before. It´s something that just happens without much thought really. This is when a big stash is good, right :)

OLW 2016 | Alive

Hi! As the new year starts I am also starting a new project. This year I am playing along with Ali Edward´s One little word.  I have used the idea of having a word of the year before, but haven´t worked as methodical with it like I intend to do this year.

When I went about choosing my word I first thought I wanted to use energy. As a person suffering from cronical tiredness energy is something I think about a lot. I want to work towards more energy. But then I came upon an online thessaurus  and what it does is it allows you to type in one word and you get several synonyms. Long story short, I am going with alive. I want to not only exsist, but to be alive, have more energy, experience things, adventure, say yes and to be excited and see the positive.
Wow, that is huge, right?! Well, I am really hoping to work on this from different angles.

Ali used a quote in here album that goes like this:

"I want to die living and I want to be remembered as one who lived with purpose, joy and …

WCS | January gallery

Hello 2016 and hello January gallery at Write Click Scrapbook.  This month we were to use our "on trend".

When I thought about what trends I wanted to use on my layout this month, I came up with the watercolor trend. It has become huge this past year! So for my patterned paper I used a page from one of my coloring books. I then colored just a little to make it more interesting.
The page is obviously about how with my iPhone in my hand I can access the whole world. It´s true. With my iPhone I can run pretty much my entire life. I can email, google, read, take classes, check my planner, find inspiration, share inspiration, write, ask, answer, keep in touch, pay, document, read news from all over the world and from my little island. I do have the whole world in my hand.
Now go check out the rest of the gallery!
