OLW 2016 | April + May

Now that we are well into the middle of May I wanted to share both April´s and May´s prompt in the One little word class. In April Ali prompted us to ask a question relating our word every day. I choose the question: What made you feel alive today? Rather than writing down one thing every day, I chose to write a list of 37 things that make me feel alive. Some tried and true and some I´d like to try.

Here is my list:

1. Stargazing
2. Getting my hands in the dirt
3. Laughing really hard
4. Taking walks in a cool forest
5. Dipping my toes in the lake
6. Swimming in the lake
7. Trekking
8. Doing something and succeding
9. Intimate moments
10. Doing random acts of kindness
11. Being outside when it snows
12. Standing at the beach when it is really windy
13. Zip lining
14. Being goofy and silly
15. Saying yes
16. Planting my garden
17. Harvesting my garden
18. Picking blueberries in the forest
19. Seeing a beautiful sunset
20. Making a bonfire at the beach
21. Getting up early to watch the sun rise
22. Turning a day of misery, to gratefulness
23. Taking a photowalk with the DSLR
24. Going to a wildpark
25. Eating really good food
26. Painting
27. When all my senses are in line
28. When I feel independent
29. Listening to really good music
30. When meditating really works
31. When my legs hurt from too much walking
32. Reading a good book
33. Pulling over for a photo
34. When a story just pours out of me
35. Moments when I feel like I belong
36. Going to new places
37. Planning to do fun things

And this is how April looks in my album.

May´s prompt was to try and capture our word through our cameras. This is clearly something that comes easy to me ;)
I went through my camera card to choose a few photos that spoke to me and just used them Which means that I didn´t go out with the intent of taking new photos, I chose photos I had already taken.

This is how I put the prompt together in my album. No words (other than that quote) because I wanted the photos to do all the talking.

Something that stood out to me when I printed my photos, was that most of my "feeling alive" moments are outside. That wasn´t very suprising to me. I feel good outside.

I´m looking forward to June.

  1. Thank you for sharing! I've been taking lots of photos this month, but just sort of higgledy piggledy. Your pages have helped me see how well they can work. :)

Memory keeping | Autumn TN 02

If you´d like to see my first few pages in my Autumn mini, just click here

I am still working away in my Autumn travelers notebook. I have enjoyed to add bits and pieces and stories about some of my favorite things about fall. I will go on in November and then start my annual Christmas mini at the start of December.

Quotes are one of my favorite things to include in my memory keeping projects, so it is no suprise that I have quite a few in here.

I will use most of the remaining pages for my 30 day gratitude project that I do every year with the grand finale of Thankgiving at the end of the month.
I have a question, if you are one who makes traveler notebooks, how do you store them when they are done?

Memory keeping | December mini 2016 - 6 past favorites

Three years ago, when my fiancé and me celebrated our first December together, I started a December minibook. It´s a 6x8 binder from Simple Stories with pocket pages. I decided that I´ll have three years worth of December memories in this mini. So this year marks the last one being documented in this book. I am not doing anything daily (as in the December Daily project that Ali Edwards do) and since I do Project Life every week this album is all about our December traditions and sometimes I do have double recordings, but for me it is all ok. What I have felt special about working in my December mini is that I go all in with glitter, cheesy wordings etc. It´s fun! I fitted 3 years of Decembers in one album and this year I am getting a new album, but will still do the same thing.

Today I thought I´d share a few favorite pages and elements from the past 3 years before I start the new album.

1. I really like that I have included the things I have been inspired by every year. I take a screen…

Kellie Stamps CT 2016 | November

I'm so happy about the re-release of two alpha sets this month from Kellie Stamps! Slim Jim is a set I use all the time for all kinds of projects.

Here is a new page I did for the re-release.

I've been so inspired by fellow team member Diane and her awesome traveller notebooks lately. She often creates backgrounds using her alpha stamps, so I lifted her and made this background for my layout. I very rarely use any other color than black to stamp with, but after using this blue/teal Ink I may have to start.

Since my love is worse in his MS his wheelchair is a must. We are that couple that hold hands a lot and that is something I miss. But when the road is a tiny bit downhill we totally hold & roll :)
