Sahin designs | December projects

One of the Holiday themed kits that Sahin designs has released this year is the All is bright collection. It has this deep green color scheme and I love it so much! For this layout above I used one of the patterned papers, labels and also a word strip. I added three green buttons from my stash too!

The Traditions collection has the cutest embellishments I´ve seen for a long time! The gifts in the above layout were my favorites! I love that I could stack them above each other.

Maybe it is hard to see since it´s white on white, but I added one of the gift elements on this birthday layout too!

The All is bright collection also had this beautiful black floral paper and the black and white card and they came together so well for this layout I made about getting my first tatoo. I´ve said it before, but I still love to use themed kits for other stories too!

Project Life 2017 | Week 47-51

Week 47: Here we go! Here is the last spread for November. A typical spread with everyday kind of things.

Week 48: Finally December! I always long to be able to decorate for Christmas, don´t you? We celebrated Thanksgiving this week too and celebrated my husband´s 45th birthday. Can you sa full week?!

Week 49: After a crabby day we put up the tree to make spirits bright(er) and I went with collegues to see Lés Miserables which was amazing. Then the week were pretty uneventful, so I used a few Snapchat photos to fill out a few pockets.

Week 50: involved highs and lows like stomach bugs and migraines but also snow, fun Holiday socks and nectarines.

Week 51: Christmas week. Isn´t it strange how fast actual Christmas swishes by? I computer journaled this week and I kinda like it!

I´ll be back after New years with the very last spread of 2017!

Project Life 2017 | Week 42-46

Week 42: Still in October and lovely light. I love that I pulled the car over to take the photos of the magic foing on in the forest!

Week 43: This is not my favorite spread, maybe because I think it is so scattered?

Week 44: This is much more my kind of spread, co-hesive and using the same elements over and over makes me happy.

Week 45: For this spread I used a kit from Paislee press and I love that it is black and white!

Week 46: It´s hard to see here in the photo, but I tried to use gold for that sunrise photo. Both cards surrounding it has gold elements in them.

I´m sorry to overwhelm you with PL posts, but I am trying to get all week´s on the blog before the new year :)

Project Life 2017 | Week 36-41

Week 36: This was our first week with our new cat Kinai, so the spread is almost only about him :)

Week 37: I used that photo of my niece crocheting and my other niece sticking her tounge out as my guide for my color choices for my spread.
Week 38: Migraine week and full of autumn colors this week. I used cards from old and new Studio Calico kits for this spread.

Week 39: This week I challenged myself to use a Halloween themed kit by Sahin designs (All dressed up) to use on a non-Halloween spread. I love to make challenges for myself!

Week 40: This was  weird week for me. I felt both very tired and had some anxiety, so I used stories and photos to show what made it a bit easier for me.

Week 41: I used a bunch of clear stickers from Studio Forty as embellishments this week. They add such fun dimension!

Project Life 2017 | Week 30-35

Week 30: My first week back at work after summer break. It was super quiet and we still had a lot of garden time.

Week 31: This week´s spread was for a color challenge which was to use shades of the same color. Can you guess my color? ;)

Week 32: For this week I included a few of my daily from where I stand photos I took all August. I love to include those!

Week 33: For this week´s spread I used products from Feed your craft and I always love their stuff.

Week 34: This was a full week! We traveled to Stockholm to visit with friends and we also went to the Photography museum which was fun. I included a few photos from that and added my journaling under that "step count" photo. My husband then was in a 10k race and he did amazing! There is journaling about that under that last photo. I love to use flip pockets for more content.

Week 35: Another big week; I got my first tatoo, my one and only daughter turned 18! and we went to get our new kitten!

Project Life 2017 | Week 26-29

Week 26: This week marked my first of 4 summer vacation weeks and also our wedding week. I have a seperate wedding album for this ofcourse, but as you can see the week was full of activity ;) It is hard to see in this photo, but I did make a smaller insert with all the journaling for the week. One side holds all the pre-wedding stories and then on the other I have journaled about our big day.

Week 27: We thought we could finally rest after all the wedding stuff, but we were treated to the most thoughtful gift. We got a scavanger hunt all the way down to a beautiful SPA where were we got to spend two wonderful days being pampered.

Week 28: We went to were IKEA is originally from just a few hours away and stayed at the IKEA hotel and visited the museum. It was one of the planned trips of the summer and we are so happy with it. If you have the chance, you should go! Then one of my long-time online friends came to visit!

Week 29: Marked the last vacation week and we soaked in the lovely weather and being at home. My husband´s nephew turned 18 and his mother also had a birthday. My niece turned 2 all in one week and we spend Saturday going from one party to another :)

As I type this it´s December 17th and I can´t believe that we are this far in the year already! I´ll be back with more spreads from 2017 shortly in my quest to have them all here before years end.

Christmas mini 2017

December is here! I know many have been eagerly waiting to document those special Holiday moments. I am one of them! If you have been a longtime reader, you´d know that in 2013 I started a new way of documenting December. You can read a bit more about it here, but basically I am using one seperate 6x8" album where I do each December annually. So in my first album I have 3 years of December memories and last year I started a new album, so this will be the second year in that album.

I put all sorts of things in there; traditions that look the same year after year but change since we change, stories about Christmas related things and cards etc. I really love looking through these albums and look forward to do this project again this year!

Project LIfe 2017 | Week 20-24

As time is going so very fast I really want to share all my Project Life spreads with you before years end. Let´s continue with more from this summer!

Week 20: This was a lovely warm pre-summer week in May. I opted to make all my journaling digital this week and I really like it. The font size is a bit small, so I know I played a bit with that for the next spread.

Week 21 was eventful as my then fiancé fell with his wheechair at work and the ambulance had to get him to hospital. Nothing very serious but he id had to wear a collar for a few weeks and got a head concusion. We made some more pre-wedding stuff and my daughter suprised me for Mother´s day!

Week 22: Here you can see the before mentioned collar ;) I included the TV shows we were currently following and even more wedding prep.

Week 23: As our wedding was week 26 we wanted both to be prepared but also spend some time just being. We knew that we would be super stressed eventually so we wanted to get in some resting also. That was what this week were all about.

Week 24: As you can see on this spread I was working with a color scheme this week. I believe it was for a Nerd Nest challenge. I like doing that as you know ;)

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Paislee Press Guest CT | November 1

I am so very happy to say that I am the guest designer for Paislee Press this month! I love Liz´s products and have been using them forever, so that makes me even more eager to just create.

The first kit I get to play with is called In the books and it is so clean and simple and full of the loveliest sentiments. My favorite one is "and the my heart bursts into a million peices" and that is what I have used one my layout above. This is actually from the In the books card set. I just printed it larger so that I could use it as both my title and journaling spot.

This layout was the one I used as my official guest CT project. I went through a whole lot of old photos for another project I was doing and just went down in the rabbit hole of my daughter´s childhood photos. It made so very sentimental that I knew this was the story I wanted to use. As you can see it is so very simple, just the way I like it!

At first I thought my journaling would fit onto just one circle, but it didn´t so I used a brad to hold them both together and then I could easily slide the top circle to the side to read one the second one.

I was also asked to create a project with an old product from Liz´s and I used the High Five kit to create a page about my amazing husband. He has MS and he is the strongest person I know. He has terrible pain all day every day and still doesn´t let that stop him from anything! The sentiments in the kit was just perfect for this!

I´ll be back soon with my project from the other kit I got to play with!

Sahin Designs | Generations kit

The new kit from Sahin designs is called Generations and is filled with sweet sentiments, elements and cute papers. I made this layout straight away when I had downloaded the kit! I love the heart paper and the sentiment ”It’s always better when we’re together”.

It worked perfectly with my story about how much I love when my adult daughter comes home to visit.

I also made this fun layout with Snapchat photos of my nieces. For this I used a few of the cute patterned papers to make the banner flags.

To tie the pages together, I cut out the letters with one of the papers.

As I said, I really love this kit. Be sure to check it out too!

Sahin Designs | October projects

I thought I would make a roundup of the projects I have made my first month as a CT with Sahin Designs. She had 2 kits out, one Halloween themed called All dressed up and one Autumn themed kit called Fall is for. They both have much of the same color scheme so they were also easy to combine.

I have been working in my 7th travelers notebook of the year and have officially filled it up mostly with stories of autumn and our kitten Kinai.

This last one is one of my favorites! I printed out a leaf template and traced it over my photo, then cut it out. I love the effect!

Here is a link to my blog post about using a Halloween kit for other projects:

The CT are already working with the first kit for November and I know you will love it!
