Project Life | Week 32 2013-2017

Hi there! I thought it would be fun to look back at the same week in my project life albums through the years. I have done this project for 6 years now and at the moment I have 2013-2017 here in this post. Week 32 is summer for us. It could be that I had already had my summer vacation or that I was in the middle of it. Some things are the same, other things are not.

Week 32 2013 You can click the link to go to the blog post from that week! 2012, 2013, 2014 I was using the horizontal postcard pockets to get my spread. I have always used two pages are a spread and always done it weekly.

Week 32 2014 I see that we love to spend a lot of time in the garden.

Week 32 2015 In 2015 I changed to a 6x8" album and used that size up until august. It was a fun format, but I really needed more space!

Week 32 2016 After august 2015 I changed up to use the baseball card pocket sheets that i still use. They are my very favorite and I love to work with this format. In this spread I used one week worth of photos from my "From where I stand" daily project that I did that month. I have just started this year´s edition of the project! You can follow that on my Instagram :)

Week 32 2017 It was funny to see how similar this years photos are to those in 2016; the tomatoes are getting ripe, I am art journaling, I am in my garden a lot :)

Have you ever done a comparison like this? I´d love to see it!

Memory keeping | Citrus Twist kit sketch w. 30

I have played with a few sketches lately and I still love the challenge! I love that I can use them as a starting point. Here is a sketch from Citrus Twist Kits that I used for a layout. I think they have one every Sunday.

I thought that I had a few transperency hearts to use for this, but as it turns out I did not. So I cut hearts from tissue paper which also allowed me to get the exact color shades I was looking for. I might use tissue paper in more projects! I tucked the journaling behind the photo on a tag.

I love how simple the layout turned out, as usual :)

On my needles | Right now

I have found that besides memory keeping I really do love to knit and crochet! I have for a while now and the passion just grows with time and the new skills I learn. For a long time I only did crochet and learned that myself through tutorials and videos online. In 2015 I taught myself to knit too and it opened a whole other world. This year I think has been a year where I have grown more confident in my knitting. I have tried patterns with more than just the knit and purl stitches (although you can get really far with just those two!).

I do however crochet almost as much as I knit and here are some of the projects I have made lately. Above you can see both the doily I made for our wedding and a simple granny square pillowcase.

Since I am pretty confident with my crochet, I didn´t use any pattern for any of these. I just made it up as I went :) The last one here is a project that I made first by cutting apart a T-shirt dress and a pair of leggings. From the yarn I made this project bag to hold my yarn projects on the go.

I have mostly used quite cheap yarn, but this summer I bought this gorgeous hand dyed yarn online and I never want to use anything else!

With it I knitted the Ardent shawl by one of my favorite pattern makes Woolenberry. I love that the pattern had some lace parts that showed of the beautiful yarn.

The one thing I am over the moon about

In the beginning of the year a friend asked if I´d like to test knit a pattern of hers. I was a bit nervous, but I am so happy that I did!

This is the Ferry lights shawl and at that point was the most difficult pattern I had tried. But I had no problems with it and learned a lot!

I´m so happy that I used a corrugated yarn for this shawl!

I loved how simple but effective this pattern was from Vicarno. As I said before, if you only know how to single and double chrochet you can totally make this summer top!

By now I have started and finished another shawl and have started my third pair of socks :)

Memory keeping | Right now - June 2017

Here is a quick "right now" page that I have in my Pocket Page Notebook. I used one of the stamps in June´s Studio Calico Documenter kit and listed a few things about the right now that was 2 weeks before our wedding. We got married July 1st and I will share much more about that soon! For this layout I used a black and white floral pattern that I found on Pinterest. I love how it looks under the white paper where I built my layout. I think the pattern adds so much.

Thanks for checking in!
