Sahin Designs | October projects

I thought I would make a roundup of the projects I have made my first month as a CT with Sahin Designs. She had 2 kits out, one Halloween themed called All dressed up and one Autumn themed kit called Fall is for. They both have much of the same color scheme so they were also easy to combine.

I have been working in my 7th travelers notebook of the year and have officially filled it up mostly with stories of autumn and our kitten Kinai.

This last one is one of my favorites! I printed out a leaf template and traced it over my photo, then cut it out. I love the effect!

Here is a link to my blog post about using a Halloween kit for other projects: https://sahindesigns.com/other-projects-you-can-do-with-a-halloween-themed-kit/

The CT are already working with the first kit for November and I know you will love it!

Pocket Letter | Autumn themed

Today I wanted to show you a cute autumn themed Pocket Letter. I made it with digital products from The Crafty pocket. More precisely the Cordelia kit. I love fall and I love the colors and products in the kit so much!

I basically printed the cards from the kit and also cut from the patterned papers to make the foundation cards. Most everything else is also from the kit; embellishments I have printed. The word strips in the above photo is from another kit though. I also added that cold sticker word from a physical kit.

I few of my favorite fall things!

My husband was in Spain in January and bought a set of these super cute fall leaves of wood veneer and I knew I wanted to add them in a pocket to make like a shaker!

I will be sending a few of the printed cards, some autumn tape and a tasy tea in my Pocket Letter when it goes out to my pen pal!

Memory keeping | Currently list

The Currently is a digital samp from Sahin designs. And the typos are all mine ;)

Feeling: tired and a bit worn out. My migraines have become worse and they can go on for days.

Enjoying: time at home with Stellan and the cats. Couch time binge watching Netflix shows. But also the feel of autumn.

Looking forward to: a few fun dates in Ictober. First with my mom and sisters, then with Stellan.

Knitting: ALL THE THINGS! I knit at all times right now. I have even left my craft table a few times to knit. Right now I have one sock, 3 shalws and 1 cardigan casted on.

Thinking: about how time goes by so fast. Since Stina turned 18 on August 31st I have been thinking a lot about her childhood.

Reading: I have been listening to a lot of books lately. My favorite was the sequel to Beartown by Fredrik Backman.

Wearing: flannel shirts, leggings and hand knitted socks. I am ready for fall!

Watching: Calle the midwife by self and The Unit+Solsidan with Stellan.

Wanting: to go on a trip, to experience something that makes and impact, make lasting memories.

Working: with 6 kids in the group right now.

Writing: letters and not enough journaling in my Project Life spreads.

Wishing: for more warm and beautiful fall days.

Playing: with Kinai the kitten 20 weeks.

Sahin Designs | I´m on the creative team!

Since I am an avid hybrid scrapbooker I jumped at the chance to apply to the creative team at one of my favorite digital designers; Sahin designs.  I was over the moon when she contacted me and invited me to be on the hybrid and pocket creative team! The team got to play with a new kit right away! It is the Halloween themed kit called All dressed up. We don´t do Halloween here, so I used the kit for something else, which is my favorite thing!

I am still working in my traveler´s notebook sized albums. I think this will be my 7th this year. I am tickled to try something else, but think I will do the whole year like this and then perhaps do a change in the new year.
Anyway, for this layout I enlarged one of the pocket cards to better fit my page and used it as my background. I love the colors and pattern! I added my journaling, which is all lovey dovey about how much I love my daughter, with my typewriter before adding the photo and that cute sentiment! and that is how simple it can be!

Go check the collection out!

Project Life 2017 | Week 16-19

Week 16: More photos than words are quite typical for my spreads and sometimes it´s fine, but sometimes it bugs me.

Week 17: I love how my spreads are different from week to week but also the same.

Week 18: Here is a little behind the scene shot from when I chose what I´d wear to the wedding ;)

Also we had some really good weather that week, so I made an insert with a few sunset shots.

Week 19: This is one of my favorite spreads this year! I think it might be because it has calm colors.

We got married!

Image may contain: one or more people, tree, wedding, child, outdoor and nature

I know I am a bit late in sharing this officially here on the blog, but yes we got married on July 1st!

We found our venue last summer at an old barn. It was not filled with anything else than an old car that the owners had removed. We worked so very hard with that barn! We cleaned and cleaned, hung sheets to block of a less pretty part and much more. we were so tired and worn out that last week leading up to the wedding ;) But with that hard work, help, twinkle lights and banners hung and a few other diy´s it was just perfect!

To keep budget down we did most of everything! We bought white fabric for all the table cloths (my mom ended up sewing them!), I made all the decorations and the invitations + programs and my own flowers. We also thrifted most of the plates and glasses and have since donated everything to charity.

We had an outdoor afternoon wedding with a cake buffet where we baked about 8 different cakes and cookies ourselves and the wedding cake. We also had our familys help with a few. So, we had a big fika  session with about 65 people and then had a hot dog stand later that night. It was very low key and so very us!

The actual ceremony was just outside the barn where we had the reception and it was perfect! We wanted it personal and intimate and it was, as said, perfect. My husband who has MS and is mostly in his wheelchair wanted to be able to walk down the isle and he did!

We had our pictures taken by an old photographer friend of mine and we love them so very much!
